Can you automate my account?

Yes, as long as you have sufficient credits available on your account you can clean files (or use the API) on your own at any time!

What is included with the complimentary evaluation?

Our complimentary evaluation is an opportunity to clean a file of up to 100k emails and view a summary report of our findings before you spend any money. The actual results files are not part of the complimentary evaluation, but are available for purchase if desired.

Do you have an API?

Yes, we offer access at no extra charge to our real-time, HTTP-based API.

Do you handle International, B2B, and B2C emails?

Yes, Impressionwise processes emails from all over the world, consumer & business addresses alike with high accuracy. This includes verification for all major ESPs including but not limited to Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail, AOL, etc.

Do I have to buy a credits package or can I just pay for a single file?

You do not have to purchase a credits package, you can simply pay for the exact number of emails in your file if you prefer. However, since we offer volume discounts it is often a better deal to purchase a credits package. In addition, threats are always moving and changing so having extra credits left on your account can be useful for future recleans!

How do I sign up for an account?

Our sign-up process is easy, simply click here where we will request your company name, billing address, phone number, contact name and contact email. We will then create an account for you and send a login to our portal where you can make payment, view credits, and upload/download files. Once payment has been received, you can start cleaning!

Data Transfer

How do I send my data to Impressionwise?

You may securely upload your data directly from your portal dashboard after signing up for an account. Optionally, you may also supply data via FTP or API.

What does "verifying" an email address do?

Verifying an email address with Impressionwise will accurately determine whether or not an email account is active and receiving mail.

Accepted File Types

Currently we accept any form of delineated file txt, csv, zip or rar extensions. If you need assistance with more exotic delimiter formatting, please reach out to our support team.

What does the verification process include?

Our proprietary verification process checks each email up to 25 times from different locations around the globe. We utilize, MX, DNS, SMTP, SOCIAL, and additional private technologies in determining validity of addresses.

Can I have information in other columns?

Not a problem. We simply require that all of your emails are in one column; you can have as much extra data as you would like. After cleaning, all of your data will remain in the exact same format as when you uploaded your list.

Cleansing Process

How will I know when my file is done cleaning?

Our system will send you an email when the file is complete, letting you know that the results are available for download.

Do my results files stay available in my portal account/on my FTP forever?

No! It is very important to download your results promptly and save them elsewhere because our system will automatically delete all files from your account and FTP after 7-10 days.

Can I use credits for both file submissions and API calls?

Yes! One credit cleans one email address, whether it is in a file or via API.

Why doesn't the portal show the amount I was invoiced?

For convenience, we offer the ability to make payments within our portal. We can send out invoices if you would like one, but it is not required so the portal will not show any specific amount due. You simply enter the amount you want to pay and it will email a receipt once the process is complete!

Does a list cleaning last forever?

Absolutely not! Depending on the list source and quality, the recommended cleaning intervals can vary. However, in general it is important to be aware that threats are always moving and changing, so cleaning data one time will not protect you forever.


How do I know when my credits are running low?

Our system can notify you when credits are running low via email. We also have an option for weekly credit balance updates via email, and you can purchase additional credits at any time.

What methods of payment do you accept?

For your convenience, we accept all major credit cards as well as PayPal, bank wires, and ACH transfers.

Will I receive an invoice for our accounting department?

Yes, our billing system archives all of your invoices in PDF format for later use and emails you a copy as well. Optionally, you may change the billing information for your invoices at any time for accounting purposes.

Data Protection and Usage

Do you store or share my data?

Your data is always yours and will never be shared. We will archive your data for approximately 15 days for your convenience, yet it is automatically deleted afterwards. However, you may delete your data permanently at any time. We go to great lengths to secure all user data and utilize enterprise security standards.

Does Impressionwise send email?

No, Impressionwise does not send email on behalf of its customers nor will we ever send an email to the record being verified.
